Sensor Cable

In close cooperation with leading cable manufacturers, AP Sensing is offering a range of sensing cables.
Besides the two standard cables outlined below Metal Free and Steel Cable, AP Sensing provides a broad variety of specialty cables and even project or application specific designs.

Standard Sensor Cable

The standard type of sensor cable is composed of aramid yarn with optical cores in the center and stranded wires inside the outer shell.
As a strength member, it is used for tensile strength enhancement and shock protection. This cable mainly used for monitoring a lot of power lines/ sockets, and cable tray temperature.

Stainless Steel Loose Tube Sensor Cable

By inserting optical sensor cable in stainless steel loose tube, it has an excellent tensile strength and quick response (temperature transfer force).
The gel is inserted into the tube for the protection and safety of the optical sensor cables.
The cable is small (2.2mm), but is used mainly in fire monitoring sites such as tunnels/ plants with high rigidity.

Steel Armored Sensor Cable

Steel armored sensor cable is used in the most extensive field, and it satisfies all three provisions: high tensile force, shock absorber, and quick response.
To increase the facility convenience in the field, we use a Helical steel armored that is excellent for reflecting the radius of curvature instead of SSLT.
This sensor cable is mainly employed in various facilities such as booth duct, in-building, bank, and IDC sensor.

Steel Mesh Sensor Cable

Steel mesh sensor cable consists of a 128-strand wire twisted into a mesh type as a secondary shield.
This cable is, therefore, an ungraded form of tension, shock protection, and temperature responsiveness.
It is installed in high-risk areas such as large-scale plant, utility, hot-wire interconnection, hot water piping, and storage tank.

Customize/ Special Sensor Cable

Customize/ Special sensor cable is manufactured according to customer’s request as an installable cable for various temperature environments, using special optic fibers operating at cryogenic/ extreme temperatures (from -196 ° C to 300 ° C).
This cable is mainly installed for LNG tanks’ and pipes’ water and oil leakage monitoring.
